FDIC Expanded Insurance Coverage
Seacoast National Bank is participating in the Transaction Account Guarantee Program
Under this program, all non-interest-bearing transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account through December 31, 2010. The FDIC has included in the definition of a non-interest-bearing transaction account Negotiable Order of Withdrawal accounts (NOW accounts) with interest rates no higher than 0.50% through June 30, 2010 and no higher than .25% thereafter. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC’s standard deposit insurance rules.
